KAHALI CATTERY



 We specialize in two of the most beautiful and exotic cat breeds, Abyssinians and Somalis, with 30 years of breeding experience. We are proud to have an opportunity of sharing our love of the breed to Aby and Somali enthusiast. We uphold a high standard in our cattery by using cats only from championship bloodlines. Our breeding cats have been DNA genetically tested for PK and PRA so that we may guarantee that our kittens will never be affected by these genetic disorders. Our main goal is to produce healthy kittens that better the breed in both personality and type.

We founded our Abyssinian lines with our first cattery name, Cedarwood, in 1994. In 2015, we decided to go with something a little more unique in the name as there was a few variations to the name in the cat fancy world by then. And thus, Kahali Cattery was born. 

​

After a few year hiatus that started during covid, we decided to start our breeding journey once again, but this time in Alberta, Canada. We were very fortunate for our breeder friends who still kept our lines alive and strong during our break. This allowed us to get those lines back into our cattery again. As well as having the amazing opportunity to import and bring in new lines from two outstanding catteries from Ukraine and China.

 

At this time we are only focusing on the Abyssinian breed. It is unknown if we will be adding back Somalis or not at this time.  

 

Our cattery has been veterinarian certified with the highest rating.
